What I’m just learning now is the agony of the “almost made it” rejection is a different beast entirely from the “form” rejection.

Loved this. Curious to know if the dropping of the actor led to the show not being aired - or was it with someone else in it ? I wonder if they’ll ever revisit it ? Would you ask if you saw them at a tv event ?

Of course I'd talk to him if I saw him at an event. I would love to work with the A Lister in this capacity. Something chamber and funny. I am more confident now than I was a few years ago, I would definitely tell him he missed a trick with this show. But hey, he's doing great without me!!!

Thanks for sharing. I had a movie script liked by an A-list agency and thought it was the greatest thing in the world. But, as much as they loved it, they couldn't get it off the ground. But, I was ecstatic that it made it that far. The time frame was relatively short. I'm glad that I had that experience because now I know, that if I'm ever blessed or lucky or whatever enough again, I'll be more mentally and emotionally prepared and I won't be counting chickens, etc... It also helps to know that other people have had similar experiences and reacted the same way. Best to you and your writing.
